Oscar nominations are out

La La Land beat out all competitors with 14 Oscar nominations this morning, and of course Meryl Steep was nominated yet again, this time for her stellar portrayal of Florence Foster Jenkins — making her the most nominated actor in history.

La La Land, a simple story about a man and woman falling in love in Hollywood, equaled the record of All About Eve and Titanic. It is now the most nominated musical, beating Mary Poppins which received 13 Oscar nominations.

La La Land was nominated for Best Picture along with:

Hacksaw Ridge
Hell Or High Water
Hidden Figures
Lion
Manchester By The Sea
Moonlight
